Bae Hyeon Seong and Lee Re will be joining Han Suk Kyu in the new tvN drama “The Boss Shin Project”;; (literal title)!
“The Boss Shin Project”;; is a comedy that follows the story of Mr. Shin, a man who takes it upon himself to mediate conflicts and assist people in seemingly unwinnable situations. The drama will be helmed by director Shin Kyung Soo, known for hits like “Tree With Deep Roots,”;; “Six Flying Dragons,”;; and “The First Responders.”;; The script is penned by Ban Ki Ri of tvN’s “Missing: The Other Side.”;;
Earlier this week, Han Suk Kyu was to play the titular character of Mr. Shin, a chicken restaurant owner who is known for his mediating skills.
Bae Hyeon Seong will be the role of Jo Philip, a rookie judge who adheres to principles and the basics. With handsome looks and a prickly personality, Jo Philip has walked the path of an elite, never once missing first place from school to the bar and judicial exams. While waiting to be assigned to a department, he ends up at Mr. Shin’s fried chicken restaurant, making viewers curious to find out how his dream of being a judge unexpectedly lands him a job at a fried chicken restaurant.
Lee Re will captivate as the fried chicken restaurant’s Gen Z delivery rider Lee Si On, who has a spicy and sweet charm just like seasoned fried chicken. Living with her grandmother and younger sister, Lee Si On is the head of the family. She also acts as a secret informant for Mr. Shin during the day while studying at night. Portraying a character with three years of delivery experience, Lee Re will impress as Lee Si On, adding thrill to the drama.
Rookie judge Jo Philip and informant Lee Si On will team up with negotiator Mr. Shin to resolve the injustices of the neighborhood, raising anticipation for the trio’s synergy.
The production team remarked, “In this generation where communication from people to people have been lacking, this drama will be like pickled radish that refreshes the palate.”;;
